Haemorrhage
To start with, haemorrhaging is responsible for 12.7% of pregnancy-related deaths. Some of the main causes of this are insufficient care or a lack of coordination around the care, poor education, a lack of policies and procedures for the situation, a delay in the diagnosis, or the patients lack of knowledge of the symptoms.
Heart Conditions
Similarly, also at 12.7% is heart related conditions. Cardiovascular and coronary conditions are the main issues here, as a result of existing chronic conditions, misdiagnosis, condition assessment, communication issues, and again, the patient not knowing about symptoms.
Prevention
And, if you’re thinking about ways that you can prevent risks to your pregnancy, it’s helpful if you can make sure that you have a care plan in place that you’re happy with. Not only that, but it’s useful to educate yourself on pregnancy health so that you can help yourself.
