Have you recently been on a family trip and gained loads of great photos together? Or, maybe it was someone’s birthday and you took lots of snaps. Whatever the reason, you have a catalogue of family photos, and you’re not sure what to do with them. Keeping them on your phone is an option, but what if you put them to better use? Here are some great things you can do with your family photos to make the memories live on forever:
Turn them into wall art
These days, it is so easy for you to take photos from your phone and convert them into works of art. Whether you want custom metal prints or canvas paintings, all you need to do is look online for the right website. Once you’ve found one, you will upload your photos and get them printed however you like. Then, your art will arrive in the post, ready for you to hang up. This is a great way to decorate your home with family memories, meaning you can always be reminded of the great times for years to come. You can print out single photos and frame them, or you can create a collage using a selection of your favourite pics!
Make them into little gifts
Another idea is to take some of your family photos and turn them into little gifts. To be honest, these can be gifts for yourself or your family! I’m thinking about things like mugs, keyrings, coasters – all that sort of stuff. You know, the kind of things you can use every day and get a constant reminder of the fun you had with your families. Personally, I think mugs are the best idea here as you will always use them, and you can again create a sort of collage to print onto the mug. Many years from now, you’ll take that mug out of the cabinet to make a cup of coffee and sigh as you look at the photos and remember the good times!
Create an ongoing family scrapbook
Lastly, you can get a bit sentimental and create a scrapbook of the photos. Again, select your favourite ones, then stick them inside the book. I like this idea as you can keep adding to the book with every holiday or event where photos are taken. This means you can go back to the start and flick through it, seeing your family get older over the years – but remaining just as happy! Plus, it’s a fun activity to do with your kids, particularly after a holiday where they’re feeling a bit down. Get them to help you choose the photos and stick them in the book together.
The great thing about technology is that you can keep your photos safe and sound on a phone or in the cloud. This means you can always look at them whenever you want, but you should still do something extra with your favourite snaps. From wall art to a scrapbook, there are plenty of beautiful ideas to try.
