Blogmas was a no brainer for me!
Ah, December. Finally, I can talk about Christmas and no one can tell me it’s too early!
I love Christmas. When I heard about Blogmas, I just knew that blogging was perfect for me! If only for this one month of the year!
In case you don’t know what Blogmas is, it’s basically an excuse for me to publish Christmas themed posts every day from now until Christmas. And no one can tell me to shut up, because it’s December! Finally!!
Christmas is my favourite time of year
I love the lights and the music and the films and the food… It’s impossible not to smile at how beautiful everything is when it’s covered in fairy lights, right? Christmas makes me happy! I spend all year waiting for christmas and it’s even better now that I’ve got kids!
I loved Christmas before I had the twins, obviously. It’s always been my favourite time of year, with the exception of Christmas 2014 which was right after our second IVF failed. But when you don’t have children, you don’t get to visit Santa or do the fun little traditions that make Christmas magic for the little ones. At least, not without people looking at you a bit funny. And, boy, do I love Christmas magic.
Doesn’t everyone love a little bit of Christmas magic? There’s just something so special about December.
I can’t wait to spend the rest of Blogmas sprinking Christmas cheer all over my blog!
We’ve got Elves, Santas (yep, plural Santas), our Christmas tree, Christmas markets, Winter Wonderland, easy to make Christmas treats… plus plenty to get you in the Christmas spirit. I know that some of you will be sick of Blogmas already and it’s only Day 1, but I just can’t help myself. I’m going to use this month to tell you all about my Christmas traditions and the things I enjoy. So, if nothing else, you’ll learn a little bit more about me between now and Christmas Eve. Lucky you, right?!
And I’ve tried to stick as close as I can to my usual blogging schedule, so there will be parenting/family posts on Mondays (and most other days, I guess…), and mental health posts on Fridays. They’ll just all be Christmas related in some way.
So if Christmas is not your favourite time of year, you might not love my blog this month. But I hope you stick around and check out my Blogmas posts anyway! Or, at least, come back in January!
