Firstly humour is always a good thing to keep with you at all times, especially when you have small children, they will throw all sorts of crazy things in your direction so don’t forget to laugh!

Time Keeping
So having children and adding people to your family can come with added inconveniences, such as being late everywhere, because there is always a lost shoe, someone always oversleeps, and there is always a tantrum about something insignificant at the time. But getting ready and heading for much earlier than the time you need to be anywhere to account for these inconveniences can be a lifesaver. Also keeping everything as organised as possible in the house, even though it seems like a losing battle, is absolutely going to help you out with this one.
Busy Schedules
If you have older children that have tried EVERYTHING and joined EVERY club and instrument they can find then you’ll know that when someone casually asks you to meet up on a Wednesday evening at 6pm, the answer has to be no. Keeping a busy schedule running smoothly and getting everyone to where they need to be on time (see above) is draining, and can put everything else on hold. And even if you are free when that friend asks you to go out with them, it’s never going to be easy getting there when you’re exhausted for the very same reason! How do we deal with this? Well most of us just say no to these requests, or rearrange them for the weekend/school holidays!
Unexpected Problems
So you ran out of milk last night, and nobody thought to tell you? Well, that’s ok; there’s a shop down the road! But that just adds time onto the morning that you just don’t have when you’re running a tight ship, and this is how the whole day can be ruined in one second. Dealing with this might consist of throwing some toast in the general direction of the children and getting the milk on the way home instead. Obviously planning ahead would counteract this happening but that’s easier said than done. However, setting alarms on your phone to remember to buy milk on the way home can stop you from being inconvenienced when you remember you don’t have any milk again when you get home!
This is a tiny inconvenience in the grand scheme of things since there are also times when you might find you end up at the Land Rover Accident Repair Centre without your car altogether, but usually you are given a courtesy car, and sometimes it’s even nicer than your own, so that’s a bonus!
So whatever it is that you’re finding difficult, with or without the extra inconveniences just remember it could be worse, you will get through it, and these inconveniences just keep life interesting so roll with it and hope for the best!
