The pandemic has shaken the world and actually brought some home truths to our front door. Life is precious and you never, ever, know what is going to happen next. We have learned to love ourselves once more. That sounds cliche but it’s true. We have learned to be less critical of ourselves. We do need to be loved, we do need our space, we need to enjoy life besides just working all the time. Many of us have made our dining table our office. We’re now working at home for the first time in our lives. So if our workplace is also our home, how can we distinguish between the two if we’re not relaxing in the same environment?
Find an outlet
Be selfish! Find some kind of outlet for your distress. Whether it’s binge watching shows on Netflix, watching sports or baking, just find something that you can do over and over, and get better at or enjoy for hours on end. Finding an outlet for your anxieties is tough and by no means will it come naturally. Most of us already have some kind of hobby but if you don’t now is the time to find oje.you might think it’s futile since you’re locked inside. But you can still find things to do outside. Remember most countries allow for outdoor activities and exercise. You should go for walks, start running, or perhaps go camping! Find something.
Make a reading nook
Interior design specialists have been trying to find the ultimate reading nook style forever. But it’s a trick question, because there is no best style. So, you just need to make a reading nook that you like. Consider the following.
- Make a hammock. Find some space which is supported, such as a patio door frame. And learn how to hook your hammock indoors and make it safe.
- Hang some sheets over the reading corner so it’s cut off from the rest of the room. It gives your privacy and stops you from getting distracted.
- Have a nice small coffee table to host your coffee or tea, as well as snacks.
- Put a lantern or candle near you, so you can read at night.
Sitting outside
Just making a nice place to sit in your garden, could do wonders for your mental health. Don’t just be satisfied with a deck chair. Tink about rattan chairs, lightweight but very adaptable. Consider having a companion with you such as a vape pen. You can find some awesome cheap vape deals if you look in the right place. It’s a lot healthier than the alternative and can help you to move away from a bad habit. Select the best view of your garden and make a nice place to sit by moving things out of the way, moving your plants into view, placing a bird feeder directly in front and have a wind chime hanging over you.
Lockdown is a bad situation but it’s not going to last forever. We should make it a mission to emerge out of lockdown, as calmer more down to earth people.
