The 2020 and 2021 pandemic has really put a major damper on all travel plans people all over the globe had planned. It’s really quite unfortunate, and it’s a major struggle as well. Those who have serious wanderlust and the travel bug need to just travel around domestically or just sit tight and wait for looser restrictions.

While it may be difficult to go out and travel right now, one great thing to do is to look back on travel photos and other memories. This is a great way to let you relive what you once experienced and it’s also a great way for showing off all of your travels as well. These are some fun ways to incorporate your love of travel and your travel souvenirs into your home!

Get a map

Maps come in a variety of forms and one great thing to do is get a map on display. There are a variety of different maps, such as the pushpin map to show where you’ve been but there are even maps where you can get a coin and scratch off different countries. There are even globes that you can buy that have a similar effect, such as putting in push pins or scratching off locations.  If those aren’t your thing, then you can get a map from Mapiful of one of your favorite cities and have that on display.

Collect fridge magnets

Some people love fridge magnets, some people don’t, but there’s no doubt about it that this is a pretty fun and wacky way to display some of your travels. Getting fridge magnet souvenirs is pretty easy and even cheap. Most souvenir shops sell them.

Show off your photos

One of the best things you can do is frame your favorite pictures from your travels and put those on display.  This can even be one of the cheapest tips since printing photos is so cheap nowadays. Just look into getting some A2 photo frames and put up some of your favorite photos whether it be landmarks or selfies!

Christmas ornaments

If you travel around the holiday season then you know that there is a major abundance of souvenirs and travel-themed Christmas ornaments. This gives you the chance to really spruce up your Christmas tree and add a little twist to it. Just imagine, having a Christmas tree just filled with all of your travels! Doesn’t the idea of that truly sound wonderful?

Memory box

Memory boxes come in a variety of forms, this can be a cute decorative box where you throw all of your mementos in such as postcards, but it can also include something such as a shadow box. This way, you can either make a collage or just toss in all of your belongings in this little box.

Travel Collage

It’s super important to maintain a clean home, and it always helps if décor pieces are hanging up on a wall rather than being placed on furniture such as tables. Collages can come in a variety of forms, and the same can be said for travel collages. You can create a collage from old passport stamps, maps, postcards, photos, boarding passes, tickets, luggage tags, or basically anything else you’d like! Just get creative with it!
