Some of you might be sick of hearing me talk about the Cambridge Weight Plan and, if that’s you, I’m very sorry. Because I’m going to talk about it some more today.

Last week, I mentioned that I was heading to London to do my Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant training. So, today, I want to talk about

Why I decided to become a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant

To put it lightly (haha!), Cambridge has changed my life. More than once, actually.

When I first found CWP, I was desparate to lose weight for my wedding. Which I did. I was still a little bit bigger than I would have ideally liked, but I felt beautiful and so, so happy on my wedding day – all thanks to my Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant.

And then after that, I was desparate to keep the weight off so that I qualified for IVF treatment.

My mental health wasn’t in a great place while I was going through fertility treatment (unsurprisingly) and I didn’t feel like I was in the right place to lose more weight, but I successfully maintained my 3st loss until I got pregnant with the twins. I reckon that’s a pretty good excuse for putting weight back on. Unfortunately, after the twins were born, I couldn’t go back on plan while I was breastfeeding and the weight just piled on.

I tried other diets. I just don’t have the willpower to stick to them. I found creative ways to eat terribly while still technically sticking to my points/syns/whatever.

Cambridge is the only weightloss plan that has ever really worked for me.

When I decided to go back, I knew I’d get to my goal weight. I’ve still got a long way to go, but I know I’ll get there. Because the Cambridge Weight Plan works for me.

I love how simple it is! When I’m on Step 1, I don’t have to think about food at all. By the time it’s time to start moving up through the plans for stabilisation and maintenance, I’m in the zone and all the information I need is in my Steps book.

I’d thought about training to be a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant before

But I always told myself I couldn’t do it. Confidence is, unfortunately, not my friend. Being overweight and struggling with depression and anxiety can put you in a bad place. Plus, dealing with infertility and IVF and then twin pregnancy… and then twins… I was kinda busy.

My current Consultant convinced me that I could do it, if I wanted to. And I did want to. I had reservations about doing the training before I got to my goal weight, but I’m actually really looking forward to continuing this journey alongside my clients.

I know how hard it can be!

I know this diet upside down, inside out and back to front. I know how hard it is to pick yourself up and get back on plan when you hit a bump in the road. I know what it’s like to get to goal and be so proud of yourself… and then have to start again. The twins are the best excuse I could think of, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy about regaining the weight I lost. And, this time, I want to lose more than just the 3st I lost last time.

I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by the journey ahead of you and not know where to start. I know how hard it is to take that first step towards changing your life.

I want to help people.

And I want to help myself. Knowing that I’m going to be helping other people reach their goal is amazing motivation to make sure I reach my goal, too! We’ll be taking this journey together, which is much better than trying to do it on your own.

I’m so excited about getting started. The training was full on and I learned so much! I’m just setting up my little consultation room and getting everything ready to go! So watch this space – I’m afraid I’m probably going to be talking about the Cambridge Weight Plan a fair bit…. But only on Wednesdays, I promise!
