Tips to Improve Your Blog in 2019

As we get to the end of another year, it is a good idea to reflect on everything that we have done with our blog throughout 2018 and look for ways to improve it in 2019 so that we can continue to achieve more. With that being said, continue reading to discover some suggestions that can help you out.

Make a dedicated effort to be more active on social media

There is only one place to begin, and this is with social media. Social media is not only a great way to get word out about your blog but it can be a massive source of income for a lot of bloggers as well. You need to make more effort to understand where your readers are. This is where data comes in handy, as you will then be able to focus on the right social media platforms for your audience.

Make your blog seem more professional

Another way to improve your blog in 2019 is to make it more professional. There are a number of different ways you can do this. One of the best ways is to get an online address for mailing. This means that people will see that you have a professional business address and they can get in touch with you this way. This validates your blogging business. They will know that there is a real person and real blog behind the website.

Prioritise security

Another important step to take in 2019 is to make an effort to keep your site secure. There is no denying that hackers are getting more sophisticated all of the time, and so you need to have a dedicated approach when it comes to dealing with security. You need to recognise that one breach could cause a mammoth amount of damage, which could be quite literally irreversible. One of the major sources of data breaches for bloggers is non-secure plugins.

Start putting the date on your blog posts

Last but not least, there are a lot of bloggers out there who have turned off the date settings on their post, meaning there is no publish date for viewers to see. The most likely reason for this is because they are trying to hide inconsistent posting dates and make their blog evergreen. This is not how it works, though, unfortunately. Plus, these sorts of blogs do not perform well in the search engine result pages, so it is really worth making sure you turn the date settings back on and dedicate yourself to posting regularly.

As you can see, there are a number of different ways that you can improve your blog in 2019. If you follow all of the tips that have been presented above, you will go a very long way to boosting your blog.
