Get Outdoors
You need to plan time for the family to come together. With your five year old having a busier social calendar than you, you need to organise dates and times well in advance. It’s vital that you consider exciting and interesting ways to spend time with your offspring. Kids crave something novel to tear them away from their video games. Consider heading into the great outdoors with your brood. Spending time outside in the sunshine means that you can be active and visit some of the best attractions in the country.
Consider what your little ones interests are. If they adore animals, think about taking a trip to an activity farm where they can get hands on with the lambs, chickens and other farm animals. These sorts of trips are also educational and engage kids with their passions. Or perhaps your little darlings adore theme parks. You could head onto the roller coasters, dodgems and teacups with your brood and have a day of fun and laughter while trying not to get wet on the log flume.
Eating Together
While it might not be feasible to eat together every night of the week, you should make it a non-negotiable to have one meal together each week. This way, you can catch up with one another, chat about your school days, working week or other important family plans. Being able to talk is important to communicate. Having your brood feeling confident enough to be able to talk about their problems such as bullying, relationship issues or school worries is vital to making sure that your family grows up happy, content and supported.
Go On Vacation
By planning an annual vacation, you can be sure of some sustained time away together as a family. You might fancy heading off on a road trip, hot footing it to a Caribbean island for an all inclusive spot of relaxation, or perhaps you want something more active and a trek across the Inca Trail is more your thing. Make sure that you consider your family’s interests and go for a holiday that will see you making happy family memories. There’s nothing better than making sandcastles on the beach with your kids, watching them enjoying a paddle in the sea, and watching them have their first scuba diving experience.
Family time is getting harder and harder to come by. Follow this guide and you will be able to seek the quality time together that you crave.
