2018 has been a fairly good year. I mean, like all years, it’s had it’s ups and downs. But, on balance, it’s been OK. I think it’s always important to focus on the positive, so….
These are the things I’m grateful for this Christmas
My family are awesome. My kids are amazing and getting more and more amazing every day. My husband is definitely on the right side of average. OK, he’s wonderful, but don’t tell him I said that. The twins have grown up so much in the last year and, while part of me is really sad about that, I’m loving watching them grow! They literally learn something new every day! I’m so proud of the little people they’re turning into.
I do not have many friends. But the ones I do have are the very best. They have really been there for me this year and I am so grateful to have them.
My mental health, much like the year, has had it’s ups and downs. But I’m finishing 2018 feeling pretty good. I’m grateful that my thyroid medication has been increased and my brain fog isn’t quite as bad as it was. I’m grateful that I found The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan and have not only lost 2.5st (so far), but also became a Consultant so that I can help other people do the same.
At the beginning of 2018, I had no idea that I’d be ending the year with a blog that is actually starting to make just a little bit of money. Or that I’d get to share my thoughts with a fairly decent number of people! Becca Blogs it Out has been like therapy for me. Being so open about my mental health is, I believe, part of why I’m in such a good place at the moment. And the messages I get from my readers, thanking me for being so open are just lovely and prove that it’s worth it.
OK, so maybe not as serious as the previous things… but I’m writing this while watching The Good Place and it is the funniest thing I’ve watched in ages. I’m grateful for The Christmas Chronicles and Good Witch and all the terrible (but amazing) films I love to make Mr Becca watch when it’s my turn to choose what we watch.
What are you grateful for?
