‘What are my must-haves as a bride-to-be?’

A planner

Wedding planning books are a great gift for brides-to-be. They look cute and are a perfect photo opp for Instagram, etc. But they are actually really useful for helping you to get organised and make sure that everything is in place for your big day. There are also some great wedding planning books that are worth a read to give you some inspiration and to help you stay on top of the endless to-do list.

A glue gun

DIY weddings are very popular today, and even if you don’t make everything for the wedding from scratch, there are always some elements that you’re likely to do yourself. From wrapping favours to cute table crafts, there are plenty of homemade ideas you can use to make your day more personal and special. Having all of your basic craft equipment is a must, but you should definitely invest in glue guns. Glue guns can make light work of sticking things together in a hurry, so that you don’t have to worry about double-sided tape or messy superglue to get the job done.

A spa day

Planning a wedding is stressful. There’s no sugar-coating it. So having a spa day booked in amongst those final weeks of wedding planning can be a great excuse to switch off and get some much-needed pampering.

Basic stationery

In the final days before your wedding, you’re likely to be running around tackling small jobs that can soon take over your day. You’ll be surprised at how little stationery you might have at home, so make sure you get yourself some pens, notepads, rulers, pencils and anything else you think you could possibly need.

A printer

We live in an age where more and more people are going paperless. But paperless isn’t an option for most brides. Get yourself a cheap printer that you can use to print off lists, confirmations, table plans and other bits – it’s a worthy purchase that you can always sell on if you no longer need it after the wedding’s over.

Planning your wedding comes with many trials and tribulations, but being as prepared as you can will help make things easier. Give yourself the time and space to plan your dream wedding so that you don’t have to stress about the little things. Your wedding will be one of the most special days of your life, so make sure you enjoy every minute.
